SRS is committed to being a community partner - each of our counselors’ lives and serves in a particular geographic area so that they are familiar with the programs, businesses, economics, community resources, and job opportunities available to clients. They actively engage in making the community a better place to work and live in.

As a community based organization, we see our role in the community as being one that helps the members of the community take advantage of all that is available to them to become productive, goal-oriented, self-respecting members of that community, to help them become positive role models for their children, and to have an affect on a family that can change its dynamics permanently. We believe we have a responsibility to help direct clients to the people and programs that they are not familiar with, but can help them achieve self-sufficiency by eliminating or at least working on their particular challenges, whether those are behavioral, familial, or financial.
